You will be a great contributor to the company’s mission to create the next generation of waterborne mobility. The position is firmly rooted in Oslo/Fredrikstad, but our ambitions are global.

WHAT YOU WILL BE WORKING ON

As a team we will take our ideas from the initial sketch to the final design, and further on to testing and production. Your role as a Naval Architect will be crucial in several parts of this process and your strengths should really shine through in the design and engineering phase of the process. This will include tasks like 3D modeling (CAD), structural calculations and hydrodynamic assessments. Among your many tools are also pen and paper and a sharp analytical approach to problem solving.

To get started quickly you should be comfortable with some of our software

  • Catia, NX, SolidWorks (CAD)
  • Ansys (FEA)
  • Numeca (CFD)

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

To be well prepared for the tasks that await, we think you should have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or similar. In the role you should be comfortable working independently, so experience from similar work is beneficial. Several regulations and standards will be encountered and familiarity and experience with compliance is an advantage.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

It is important that you are a team player with a positive energy. Together with the team you will strive to reach common goals. Even though the devil is in the details, you’re able to see the bigger picture.

You are passionate about Naval Architecture and you see challenging tasks rather than unsolvable problems.

Thrives in a high paced environment with forward-thinking ideas.
